Troop 373 had an enjoyable week at Woodland Trails Scout Reservation. Celebrating it's 50 year anniversary WTSR had a lot to offer including a visit from the BSA 100 years of scouting touring RV stopping and making a presentation in the rain on Wednesday. Scouts were able to sign their register which will end up in the Smithsonian along with the RV after it completes it's tour in 2010. Eight scouts from Troop 373 were able to earn a combined total of 32 merit badges with one of our scouts getting 8 complete merit badges and one partial. Three of our scouts were able to complete the rarely offered Horsemanship merit badge which WTSR is proud to be able to offer. One scout commented it was "best merit badge he had ever taken". |
